Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Advance HE — recognised for sustained, effective practice in higher education.
A business and management academic who has spent as much time in the market as in the lecture hall — and brings both into every session.
I'm a Business and Management Lecturer and MBA Dissertation Supervisor with over thirteen years across teaching and industry — spanning business, management, marketing, data analysis, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship. My work covers undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA teaching, dissertation and business-project supervision, assessment design, marking and moderation, blended and online delivery, academic mentoring and curriculum development.
What sets my teaching apart is that it's practice-informed. Alongside academia I've worked in marketing management, business development, client engagement and management consultancy, so I can connect a framework on a slide to a decision a business actually has to make. Students leave with theory they can use, not just recite.
Today I lecture and supervise MBA dissertations at the University of the West of Scotland, teach management part-time at BPP University and on the GetSmarter / 2U / LSE online provision, and act as Associate Lecturer and Dissertation Supervisor at Arden University, London — building on a former module-leader role at Buckinghamshire New University.
